Neon Knights stand out as a hard-rocking band in Las Vegas, a city not shy on local talent.  As New York-born Rick Lord, the bass player, shared, “We are surrounded by all types of talented, original, and cover bands.  We are entertainment.  There is definitely a platform here for doing what we do.  If it wasn’t Vegas, we might not be able to get the gigs, the audience, and the success we currently are having.”

The band has been “gigging” in town for three years minus a couple of breaks while lead singer Ryan Robertson did two military tours of duty in Afghanistan.  Sunday night’s performance outside Hennessey’s Pub, is just steps away from the Fremont Experience, where the band hopes to be rocking out in the near future.

They play live and loud, choosing less covered songs, setting them apart from the mainstream set list of the average Vegas band.  “The hardcore fans are out there,” says Ryan, “so you want to give them something to see as well.”
